Turbo 500 Distillation System
The Turbo 500 distillation system is a significant improvement on the old Super Reflux systems. Since the T500 was introduced, we have sold no Supers in any of our stores.
The new system is far more efficient with a yield of approximately 95% - that means it extracts 95% of all alcohol available in the wash. This is considerably higher than the old systems, meaning less alcohol is getting thrown out when you empty your base at the end of a run.
The system will produce 4 to 4.5 Litres at 92-93% consistently. Broken down, this makes at least 10 litres at 40%, using 9kg of dextrose.
The T500 base is no longer a glorified paint tin! It has a fully enclosed element with a thermal cut-off and manual re-set switch for those times when you turn it on and forget to add the wash. (This does happen!) The base also has an in-built tap for easy emptying. No more lugging 20kgs of wash to the garden or sink.
The condenser uses both copper and ceramic saddles and comes complete with two digital thermometers to monitor temperature.
The system is very easy to use, does not need constant adjustment to the water flow and comes with a Instruction DVD to ensure you get it right the first time you use it.
All in all, a great bit of kit with many happy users already.
