Irish Mint Cream

You will need:

  • 1 x Top Shelf Irish Mint Cream essence
  • 1 x Top Shelf Cream Liqueur Base
  • 1 x Top Shelf Irish Whisky Essence
  • 1 x Bag of French Oak Chips
  • 250ml boiling water

How to do it:

  1. Make up a bottle of Top Shelf Irish Whiskey using the recipe below. Measure out 500ml of the Irish Whiskey for this recipe.
  2. Pour 250ml boiling water into a mixing jug that will hold at least 2lt.
  3. Add the Cream Liqueur base and mix well until all the powder is dissolved. (Use a hand-held blender or whisk to help get all the lumps out).
  4. Add the whole bottle of Irish Mint Cream essence to the jug. Use some of the Irish Whiskey to rinse all the essence out of the bottle.
  5. Add the remainder of the Irish Whiskey and mix well.
  6. Pour the mixture into a bottle.
  7. Top up with water to 1125ml and shake.
  8. Keep the bottle refrigerated for at least 24 hours before drinking and then store the bottle in the fridge.

** Make French Oak Spirit by soaking 50g of French Oak chips in 1litre of 40% spirit for 10 to 14 days.
