Coffee Liqueur
Ingredients for 1L of liqueur:
130g ground coffee
3 drops of bitter almond extract
950ml of 40% alcohol
250g of sugar
50ml water
Preparation:
1. Put the ground coffee into a 1.5L sealable jar
2. Pour the alcohol over the coffee, add almond extract and seal the jar. Let contents sit at room temp for 8 days.
3. Put the sugar in a bowl, add water and stir until dissolved.
4. Add sugar solution to the coffee and alcohol mix in the jar, then close the jar and shake well.
5. Filter the liqueur through a paper filter. Bottle the liqueur in steralised bottles.
6. Let the liqueur rest in the bottles for approx 2 months in a dry, cool place.
