Mini-Mash Wheat Beer
What you Need:

- 1kg Dried wheat malt extract
- 750g Dried light malt extract
- 250g Dextrose
- 500g Aust Ale malt grain
- 600g Wheat malt grain
- 50g Medium crystal malt grain
- Bittering hops 12g Northern brewer hop pellets 10%AA (60 min boil 17 IBU)
- Flavour hops 15g Hersbrucker hop Pellets 3%AA (15 min boil 3 IBU)
- Aroma hops 15g Hersbrucker hop Pellets 3%AA (0 min boil 0 IBU)
- 1x Whirlfloc tablet
- 5-10l fridge cold water
- 1x Safale US56 yeast
How to do it:
- Pre heat the esky with 2 litres of hot water for 5 minutes
- Mash in 3l of strike water to achieve a mash temperature of 66 degrees.
- Mash for 60 minutes.Â
- Add 1l near boiling water to the mash tun for mash out, mix well and leave for 10 minutes.
- Drain the contents of the mash tun to the brew kettle.
- Add 3l of sparge water at 75 to 80 degrees to the mash tun and mix well.
- Drain the mash tun to the brew kettle.
- Bring the wort in the brew kettle to the boil.
- Add bittering hops for a 60 minute boil.
- After 45 minutes boiling, add the whirlfloc tablet and flavour hops to the brew kettle and boil for the remaining 15 minutes.
- After 60 minutes boiling has elapsed, stop the boil and add the Aroma hops to brew kettle.
- Add the malt extract and dextrose to the brew kettle and stir well.
- Cool the wort and add cold water and wort to the fermenter and stir well.
- Top up to 22l and pitch the yeast.
