This Liquid Disconnect has a screw end instead of the usual barbed fitting. This is so a John Guest MFL 1/4 adapter can be fitted to the end of the Liquid Disconnect. Once you attach a John Guest fitting, you will not need to use barbs and hose clamps - the beer/gas line can be inserted directly into the fitting and removed simply by pressing the grey ring around the hose.
Using a Liquid Disconnect with an MFL fitting and a 1/4 adapter makes setting up a keg set very simple and keeps your keg set versatile and easy to re-configure.
